Each turkey is trussed, wrapped in greaseproof paper and comes with a sprig of herbs, cooking instructions and a pop-up thermometer. Each box is double insulated and contains a cooling pack to ensure your Premium Barra Bronze Turkey remains fresh for the big day!

This was our first turkey from Barra Bronze. It’s always a little concerning ordering something online in advance, especially when so much can go wrong at Christmas. But I have to say the whole process went through extremely smoothly and we got full tracking information from FedEx. The turkey was well packaged and was probably the best turkey we have ever had. I just wished my wife had bought one smaller than 10.5kg for 3 people, it only just fitted in our NEF oven. First time ordering from Barra Bronzes and very impressed. I ordered a 6kg turkey which fed seven on Christmas Day and eight on Boxing Day with some left over. Everyone enjoyed it. The meat was delicious, tender and moist and the gravy was excellent. Cooking instructions are provided. However, I suggest that to avoid user error with the pop-up thermometer, it is best not to get basting juices on the device which might cause it to stick. Mine did not pop at the anticipated time and only popped later when lightly tapped but maybe the turkey just took a little longer to cook. The result was the best turkey we have ever had. I can’t fault Barra Bronzes; delivery by FedEx was on time; the turkey was well-packed with ice packs and remained fresh in our garage until needed. I particularly like that it was a free-range bird reared on a Scottish farm.

Well I have to say my turkey crown was not as good as last year – it was absolutely EVEN BETTER if that’s even possible! Can’t wait until next year as am sure we not be disappointed!
